But do not rush to throw it away, because there are many interesting options for what can be made from rose petals. The easiest way is with tea varieties - you don't even need to think about it, because such flowers are ideal for culinary purposes. But decorative roses can also be used. Lovely crafts from roses
Fresh or dried buds can be used to make chic home decorations:
- Preserve roses in glycerin by placing them in a pretty glass container. You can save freshly picked petals this way. But whole flowers will look prettier.
- Dry the multi-colored petals and lay out a picture from them.
- Use dry petals to make a topiary that will decorate the curbstone by the window.
Natural air freshener
Why spend money, and besides, breathe chemistry, if you can make a household product yourself. You will need sea salt and fragrant rose petals. Just lay them in layers, sprinkle with salt, and leave in a dark place for a week. Then just open the lid a little and the sweet scent will spread throughout the room.

DIY cosmetics
Remember the famous Bulgarian cream and eau de toilette, fragrant with roses? You can make a similar luxury at home and use the following body care products:
- Toner for cleansing the skin of the face and neck. Pour boiling water over 0.5 tbsp. dry or fresh petals, add 1 tbsp. l. glycerin. The refreshing tonic is ready.
- Nourishing face mask. Prepare pink flour: mash the petals. Mix them with 1 tbsp. l. flour, 0.5 tsp. sour cream and 1 tsp. chicken protein. Apply to face for half an hour.
Culinary "pink" delights - jam and aromatic tea
In the kitchen there is a place for one kind - tea roses. Just add dry petals to the teapot and get a fragrant tea. And from fresh ones, cook an amazing taste jam with a unique smell and rich crimson color. For 100 g of petals (there are a lot of them, because the petals are almost weightless), you will need 1 kg of sugar and 1 lemon. Squeeze out the juice from it and remove the zest. Boil the petals in 350 ml of water for 5 minutes, adding lemon juice there. Then gradually add sugar until it is all melted. And boil until thick, putting the zest.
