How to give makuha to chickens: enriching the diet of birds
In order for the chickens to grow well and the layers to lay eggs consistently, they need good feed. High egg production cannot be achieved on wheat alone. It is necessary to include various additives in the poultry diet. One of them is the makuha.
What is Makukha
- sunflower;
- corn;
- soy;
- rapeseed;
- linseed.
In poultry farming, sunflower cake is used as a feed additive - it is the cheapest. The easiest way to get sunflower cake is on churns where sunflower oil is made.
Sunflower seed cake is a valuable source of vitamins and minerals. It contains crude fiber, up to 30% protein and about 7% oil, which remains after pressing. In addition, sunflower meal is rich in proteins, which are many times superior in quality to cereal grains.
The inclusion of makuha in the diet of chickens ensures a balanced diet. As a result: egg production increases, chickens gain weight faster, and the incidence of disease decreases.
How to give makuha to chickens
The bird will eat the food completely if the top is steamed beforehand. The cake just needs to be poured into a bucket, filled with hot water and allowed to stand under the lid. It will swell and increase in volume. There will be almost no waste in this form. If you pour dry macuha, then they will rake more than they eat.
It is recommended to include makuha in the diet of birds no more than 2 times a week, especially for hens... It contains a lot of oils, and too frequent feeding will lead to obesity in chickens. They will begin to produce fewer eggs, and most of them will not be suitable for hatching due to infertility.
You can also stir steamed makuha with various additives, for example, chopped grass. Chickens also eat well a nutritious grain mixture with the addition of macuha, consisting of the following components:
- wheat (12 kg);
- barley (3 kg);
- corn (3 kg);
- oats (2 kg);
- peas 1.5 kg;
- fish meal (2.5 kg);
- fuz (600 ml);
- coarse sand shale (1 kg);
- premix (0.5 pack of "Ryabushka");
- cake (3.5 kg).
The output is 30 kg of grain mixture. The cake content in it is 13-15% of the total mass. You can give such food to chickens in the morning and in the evening.
