Clematis - flowering vines in the garden (video)

Clematis are climbing, flowering plants that somewhat resemble vines. The plant comes from Japan, where it has been decorating the courtyards of the Japanese nobility and skillful summer residents for many centuries. The meaning of the name "clematis" in translation from the Greek word "klema" means a climbing plant.

On the territory of Russia, this wonderful plant is called clematis, and it appeared in the 19th century as plants for greenhouses. Clematis probably got this name from the shape of its grains, which have a curved nose, as well as from the characteristic smell of its roots dug out and thin shoots.

The plant belongs to the buttercup family, and its varieties in nature number about three hundred. Due to its aesthetic appearance clematis (photo), they become an excellent element of the landscape design of the suburban area.
