Heating system installation

heating system installation Individual heating is a complex hydraulic system. It consists of a network of radiators with pipes and a boiler room. Its installation should be done by specialists, but after reading our article, you can always control their work.

Wall-hung boiler installation

The wall-mounted boiler is a boiler room with a built-in safety valve, pressure gauge, circulation pump and expansomat (expansion tank). The boiler has two outputs (supply and return). A pipeline system is connected to them.

Connection diagram with supply: "shut-off valve" - "American" (fitting).

The fitting is designed so that the piping system of the wall-mounted boiler is collapsible, and it is easy to disconnect the boiler from it for repair or replacement.

Connection diagram with the return flow: "stopcock" - "American" - "coarse filter - sump" (installed horizontally, with the nut down!) - "stopcock" - "American".

Floor standing boiler installation

The floor-standing boiler has a more complex piping, since the safety group, pump and expansomat are installed outside.

A safety group is placed on the supply, which is located at the top, and then a valve with a fitting.

It is important to follow the connection sequence! Otherwise, if you put shut-off valves between the boiler and the safety group, then, with the tap closed, a breakdown may occur. It is necessary to divert water discharge from the safety valve to the side of the boiler in order to avoid damage to the boiler room.

On the return line are placed: "shut-off valve" - "circulation pump for heating"(The rotor is installed horizontally in the direction of flow of the coolant in the system, the terminal box must be at the top!) -" coarse filter "(nut at the bottom!) -" tap "-" tee "-" tap "(to fill the system) -" tap "(for the tank) -" expansomat "(expansion tank).

The volume of the expansomat is 1/10 of the displacement of the coolant in the heating system.

The tank must be taken 50% larger than the calculated size.

The tank must be in front of the pump! Do not install a non-return valve in a simple heating system!

Radiator piping

There are several ways to connect the radiator to the heating network. Widely used - two-pipe (the so-called beam, collector or dead-end system) with a diagonal pipe connection.

Three types of taps can be installed on the radiator:

  • ball;
  • valve;
  • faucet with a thermal head.

In the radiator piping, when there is heating with an automatic boiler, taps with push-action valves can be used. Otherwise (on a solid fuel boiler) - do not use taps with thermal heads!
