Protecting fruit trees by whitewashing in spring and autumn
Whitewashing trees is one of the most important tasks for gardeners. This procedure is carried out in early spring to protect the bark of trees from sunburn. In addition, whitewashing also has an aesthetic function. How to prepare a good solution for whitewashing tree trunks so that they are snow-white for a long time? This is discussed in detail in the following video clip.
The author of the video recommends taking 6 liters of water for 2 kg of lime (slaked) and mixing everything well. Next, you need to add 1 liter of water-based paint and about 2 kg of clean fine sand (it helps to clog the pores in the bark, making it smooth). After thoroughly mixing all the components, the mixture can be used to whitewash trees. More details - in the video plot.
