The special feeding "Baikal EM-1", having appeared on the market relatively recently, made a real sensation. Many gardeners, summer residents and simply lovers of indoor flowers use it widely. But, like any other fertilizer, it should be used extremely carefully - any mistake, at first glance insignificant, can lead to the death of flowers. Therefore, it will be useful to learn about the fertilizer "Baikal EM-1", the use for indoor plants and a number of other subtleties.
What is Baikal EM-1?
To begin with, this is not really fertilizer or top dressing in the usual sense of the word. "Baikal EM-1" does not contain the substances needed by plants for intensive growth, flowering and fruiting, but the culture of microorganisms.
Experienced gardeners know that over time any soil is depleted, even with regular fertilization and top dressing - digging up areas destroys bacteria living in the soil. Because of this, fertilizers are less absorbed, roots and leaves stop rotting. It is in such cases that "Baikal EM-1" should be used. By introducing it into the soil, you restore the normal balance of bacteria, restoring fertility for a long time. Read how to use ammonium nitrate?
How to use and what to fear
Following the instructions, dilute the required amount of Baikal EM-1 in the corresponding amount of sweetened water. After a few hours, you can add bacteria-rich water to the soil by simply watering it - the effect will be noticeable after a few days.
Also, when using "Baikal EM-1", do not forget about ordinary fertilizers - bacteria accelerate the process of processing nutrients, but do not replace them.
In no case should fertilizer be used after the expiration date. Because of this, some of the aggressive bacteria (lactic acid) destroy the rest, and when introduced into the soil, they can significantly increase its acidity - not all flowers like high acidity and may well die.
