Fertilizer Bona Forte for orchids with succinic acid: methods and frequency of application

Two years ago, my husband gave me a beautiful orchid with large orange flowers. At first it bloomed quite willingly, but over the last year it has only released new leaves. Recently I heard about a drug that stimulates orchid flowering. Tell me how to use Bona Forte fertilizer for orchids with succinic acid correctly? How often can you use it?

orchids The graceful beauty of the orchid is a capricious lady and requires increased attention. For abundant and prolonged flowering, she needs additional feeding, while ordinary fertilizers are not very suitable for her. The Bona Forte brand has created a special preparation for fertilizing orchids, which contains succinic acid and magnesium, which are essential nutrients for decorative flowering plants.

How to use the drug?

Fertilizer is in liquid form and besides succinic acid includes a whole complex of trace elements such as nitrogen, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, potassium and others.

Bona Forte works equally well both with root dressing and when spraying the plant on the leaf. For root watering, a working solution should be prepared at the rate of 5 ml of the drug per 1.5 liters of water.

When watering orchids, you must ensure that excess water does not stagnate in the pot. This can lead to decay and death of the plant.

For foliar dressing, a solution of a lower concentration should be used - the same amount of water will require twice as much.

When spraying a blooming orchid, avoid getting liquid on the flowers.

The frequency of feeding depends on the season:

  • from November to February, one application per month is enough;
  • fertilize every week from March to October.

The finished solution can be stored in a dark place for no more than 2 weeks. Shake well the next time it is used to dissolve the sediment on the surface.

Restrictions on the use of fertilizer

Feeding can only be done on completely healthy orchids. Fertilization with external signs of a plant disease is possible only if the cause illness lack of nutrients served.

As for the young, newly planted flowers, you can start feeding them only 2 weeks after planting. This also applies to transplanted plants.

As a result of fertilizing Bona Forte orchids:

  • the appearance of the plant improves;
  • flower growth is activated;
  • bud formation is stimulated;
  • the flowering period is extended;
  • the immune system of the orchid is strengthened.

Growers who use this fertilizer for their orchids note that with regular use of the drug, the period of continuous flowering increases to 6 months.
